FINDING YOUR SIZE

How to Measure

Always look forward while measuring. Looking at the tape makes your chest to cave in and skew the results.

STEP 1

Measure Your Underband

Wrap a measuring tape around your ribcage under your bust. Ensure the band is snug but not denting the skin and parallel to the floor. Measure while taking a full breath. Enter the number below.

STEP 2

Measure Your Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust (nipple level). Ensure the band is snug but not denting the skin, and parallel to the floor at all times. Enter the number below and then click "Calculate your size".

The experience

How does the BSS feel on?

Most women describe the BSS as a new sensation; not because it's uncomfortable, but because it doesn't behave like other bras. Here's what to expect the first time you put it on.
Do you opt for comfy light-support bras?

It might feel like "a lot" at first.

The underband is firm but comfortable. It will support your breasts without restricting your breathing.

That firmness is doing real work: high support prevents early breast sagging and protects the breast tissue from long-term damage. Give it a few wears. The newness softens; the support stays.

Do you usually wear tight, restrictive bras?

It might feel like it's not enough.

The BSS is designed to be as comfortable as it is supportive. You do not need to be compressed or squished to experience proper support in a BSS.

Before sizing down, take your BSS for a test run or bust out a few jumping jacks. You’ll find the support you want is already there.

The bounce test

Before deciding to size down, jump in place a few times. If movement is controlled and the band stays put, you have the support you need. If you would like a second opinion, get in touch.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Common Issues & Solutions

Find quick solutions to the most common fitting questions.

Upper back chafing

Ensure the adjustment ladder sits behind the hook so the hook itself does not touch the skin. This prevents the hooks from digging in.

Straps coming undone

Older versions of the BSS allow the hook to be pinched to lock in your setting choice, as shown in the picture above. The hook is made of metal, so apply force. Newer versions use bespoke hooks that are double-locked from the first adjustment.

Lower back chafing

Similar to the straps, ensure the adjustment flap sits behind the hooks, so no metal touches your skin. This prevents any hot spots or chafing.

Replace

When to Replace a BSS

Even a perfectly fitted BSS has a lifespan. Just like running shoes, they get worn out by use and washing. To remain 100% supported in your training and duties, follow our guidelines for replacement.

6 months

If worn most days
6 months
If you're in your BSS for high-intensity work or you wear it most days, replace it every 6 months.

12 months

If worn occasionally
12 months
Replace at 12 months or sooner if you notice visible wear, reduced support or chafing in places that didn't chafe before.
refit

When to Refit a BSS

Weight shifts, periods, pregnancy, breastfeeding - the BSS adjusts in the shoulder straps and underband up to 2 inches / 5 cm, and the cups accommodate changes up to 2 cup sizes. Beyond that, it may be time to move to another BSS size.
Cyclical changes

Cyclical changes

Use the strap and band adjustments to accommodate cycle-related changes. No need to change BSS sizes unless there is a permanent breast size change.
Pregnancy & weight changes

Pregnancy & weight changes

The BSS flexes through up to two cup sizes. Beyond that, size up or down for proper support and performance.
Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding

To breastfeed in the BSS, simply unclasp the underband and lift the BSS from underneath the breast. Refit when breastfeeding causes significant breast size change.

Prosthesis? No problem!

For wearers with post-mastectomy prostheses, the BSS is engineered with internal silicone grips inside the cups. The grips keep both natural breast tissue and prosthesis in place, minimising movement and eliminating the risk of the prosthesis slipping or falling out, even at high impact.

materials & allergies

What's in the BSS

Avoid using a BSS if you have a known allergy to any of the following:

Silicone

The internal grips that hold the breast or prosthesis in the cup are silicone and not removable.

Silver Ions

The BSS is treated with silver ion for an antibacterial finish, useful for high-wear, high-activity use.

Other Metals

If you have a metal allergy, the plastic coating sits between the hook and skin but on the off chance of the plastic being worn out, please avoid use.
